Containers planted with seasonal or permanent plants can be extremely versatile. If an irrigation system is installed alongside, container gardening can be relatively low maintenance and can brighten any corner of a garden. 

Containers add versatility to small and large gardens by providing instant colour and focal points. A pair of matching containers either side of a doorway can make entrances look welcoming. Whilst containers on a decked area or a patio can provide colour and ambiance to an outside seating area. 

They are ideal for people with little or no space. In addition to growing flowers those limited to courtyard gardens or balconies can still grow vegetables and herbs.
